Before Gordon's Arrival
Two twin brothers, Jim and Jeff bought the Capri restaurant. They are both immature and lack culinary skills. They are also both lazy. Needless to say, all these things are making Capri struggle, and they are running out of money.
Gordon is greeted by Jeff, and remarks the place looks closed, and after meeting Jim is amused by how identical they look. He questions why they aren't open for lunch. They also tell him they are closed Mondays and Tuesdays. The place is dirty and hasn't been updated in a very long time.
Meatball Sandwich, Chicken Scarapello, Capri Colossal Pizza
Impressions of the Food
Meatball Sandwich-Gordon declares it nasty, and knowing they didn't make the meatballs themselves, it just disappoints him more
Chicken Scarpello-Gordon says it looks dull and smells strange, and questions how old the chicken is, and sure enough it's frozen
Capri Colossal Pizza-Gordon declares it dreadful and hideous
First Dinner Service
Gordon continues to peer around the restaurant, and finds that literally every table has gum under it. The twins are in the kitchen and dreading what Gordon will say. Gordon says they seem like nice guys, but they are lazy. He then relays his concerns, and questions where their pride is. Gordon leaves to have lunch somewhere else. Jim and Jeff start to clean but quickly get overwhelmed and ask the staff to do it for them. Nonetheless, Gordon returns for dinner service. He remarks about the filth in the kitchen. He inspects some of the ingredients, and it annoys the twins. The service begins, and it is not going well. Jeff starts to cry. Gordon follows him outside and Jeff says he feels like a failure. Jim defrosts frozen chicken in the steam table, which is improper and Gordon calls it a "lethal mistake". Gordon tells Jim to take all chicken off the menu for the night, but when he does this, he makes a loud announcement to the dining room which only serves to make him look bad. Gordon tells him he could have done that better, to which he tells Gordon "Blow it out your ass!". Gordon responds "Diaper need changing?". Darian is happy to see someone like Gordon picking the twins apart.
Gordon says they are lazy, and he also challenges them to clean the kitchen, and he means them, not the staff.
Remainder of the Visit
After a night where Jim and Jeff tearfully clean the kitchen, Gordon arrives early, just after they leave, and he decides to open Capri for lunch, assisted by only Darian and Colleen. Gordon makes lasagna, Darian makes pizza and Colleen serves. Jim and Jeff arrive and see what is going on. Gordon reveals that in just one lunch, they made $300. Gordon then meets them at a boxing ring. He talks to them trying to inspire them. Jim goes first and then Jeff as they punch as Gordon holds blockers. Back at Capri, Gordon teaches the twins how to make a meatball.
Restaurant & Menu Remodel
Gordon's design team gives Capri a severely needed redesign. The wallpaper is replaced by hardwood and the booths are replaced by old pews from a local church. Gordon redesigns the menu, more streamlined for Jeff and Jim's abilities.
The final service gets off to a shaky start. Jim is nervous and panics. Gordon pulls both twins aside, and tells them bluntly to get a grip and stop sacrificing quality for speed. The service rebounds and all ends well for the night. Gordon implores them not to be lazy as he departs.
After Gordon's Departure
The twins heed Gordon's advice and start opening for lunch and things seem to be getting better for them. The twins sold Capri in 2019, although apparently not under good circumstances as they started a GoFundMe. The new owners retained the Capri name, but changed it into a club.
